The Animal Show: an animal quiz game for kids
The short answer
The Animal Show is Brainimo's animal game: a TV quiz show hosted by your child's own brain pet. Each episode visits one habitat, and three are built today: the African savanna, the polar lands and the ocean. Kids watch a short story lesson, tap animals to find facts, play a three-round quiz and win animal cards for an album.
How does an Animal Show episode work?
Each episode has four steps: Watch, Explore, Show and Cards. Watch is a 7-slide lesson that mixes big facts with a story about a young animal: Zuri the baby elephant on the savanna, Nanu the polar bear cub, or Lulu the baby sea turtle. In Explore, your child taps each animal in the scene to find its secret. The Show is a quiz in three rounds: pictures, "who wins?" and a lightning round of true or false. Cards come last.
Which animals are in the Animal Show?
Each built habitat has six animals. Savanna: lion, elephant, giraffe, zebra, cheetah and hippo. Polar lands: polar bear, penguin, arctic fox, walrus, snowy owl and reindeer. Ocean: octopus, blue whale, dolphin, shark, sea turtle and clownfish. The jungle, farm and bugs episodes are shown as coming soon. Other general knowledge topics, like countries and flags, Planet Earth, space, the human body and food around the world, are also listed as coming soon.
What animal facts do kids learn?
Kids learn short, surprising facts they can repeat at dinner. The cheetah is the fastest runner on Earth, but only for a short sprint. A polar bear has black skin, and each hair of its fur is clear and hollow. An octopus has three hearts and blue blood. No two zebras have the same stripes. Emperor penguin dads keep the egg warm on their feet for two months of winter, and polar bears and penguins never meet, because they live at opposite ends of the Earth.
How do the animal cards work?
Your child wins an animal's card by getting all of that animal's questions right in the show. Won cards go into an album with each animal's speed, weight and what it eats, and a page is complete when every animal from that habitat is in it. Cards your child has not won yet stay visible in grey, with the animal's name, so they know what to go back for. Missed cards are never hidden.
How do Animal Show stars turn into real rewards?
Games, chores and real rewards all run on the same stars. Each show pays stars, and a replay pays only what beats that show's best, so stars come from learning more. The stars join the same balance as every other game and the missions you set at home. Your child spends them at the Prize Counter on rewards you chose and priced, and you approve each one.
How it works
- Your child picks a habitat episode of the Animal Show.
- Watch the lesson, explore the scene, then play the three-round show.
- Right answers win animal cards, and the show pays stars.
- Your child asks for a reward at the Prize Counter.
- You approve it and give the reward in real life.
What you control as a parent
- You choose the rewards on the Prize Counter and what each one costs.
- You set the daily limit on stars from games, from 10 to 60 a day.
- You approve every reward request before it is real.
Questions parents ask
How many Animal Show episodes are there?
Three are built: the savanna, the polar lands and the ocean, with six animals each. Jungle, farm and bugs are shown as coming soon.
Is the Animal Show only for little kids?
No. Brainimo is made for ages 4 to 11, and the lessons can be read aloud.
Can my child replay an episode?
Yes, as often as they like. A replay pays stars only when it beats that show's best score, and any card won stays in the album.
